«ОБРАВШИ ШЛЯХ ІСТОРИКА, НІКОЛИ НЕ СХОДИВ З НЬОГО»: СПОГАДИ ЛЬВІВСЬКИХ ІСТОРИКІВ ЯК ДЖЕРЕЛО ДО ЇХНЬОЇ ПРОФЕСІЙНОЇ ДІЯЛЬНОСТ
The article is focused on analyzing the memoirs of Lviv historians (their realization took place at Lviv university in the second part of the 20th century), as a source for their professional activity considering the impact of the socio-cultural process of the 20th – 21st centuries. These memoirs were published or publicized as interviews in independent Ukraine. There are being defined and analyzed the following content lines, such as the formation of a worldview and the choice of profession, studying and learning history, the environment of the university, the historian and the Soviet system (professional realization, communication), private space, individual appreciation, nowadays and the image of future. Being found out that the authors in the memoirs mostly described the story of their professional realization, because they kept their professional style – the desire to emphasize the moments of history (of Lviv university and its intellectual and scientific environment), the stories which can be used as a historical source; less – the moments of subordination of system, traumatic experience, private space, personal mistakes, and feelings. Considering the specificity of a period of writing memoirs, their purpose and functions, being found out that in independent Ukraine these memoirs are the searching of senses and the answers to actual questions of nowadays, they represent historical and national aspects, in particular with the purpose of paying attention to patriotism, also these memoirs being written for the young generation of researchers-historians, what defined its educational and socio-cultural meanings. Being noted that authors by thinking of the categories of the past haven’t kept the modern ideas of variability and temporality in their recommendations. By critical analysis, the content of memoirs has reproduced some specifics of the professional life and everyday life, inner world of a historian of the second part of the 20th – 21st centuries. In the research are being used methods such as biographical, contextual, comparing.
